PARTNERSHIP WITH ISRAEL

Partnership with Israel creates opportunities for people-to-peole contact between Cantonians and Israelis living in the Western Galilee. This program truly is the bridge between our two countries.

Missions to Israel are planned periodically to facilitate stronger Jewish identity and nurture a greater understanding of Israel and her people.

CANTON'S SHLICHUT PROGRAM

We are proud to say that the Canton Shlichut Committee will bring our current news shaliach(Israeli emissary), Elad Lerech, to Canton September 15. This is a dynamic program, and each of our shlichim have been full of energy and enthusiasm and have brought their own personal charm to our community. The shlichut program specializes in working with our youth, with local public schools to teach Israel, Holocaust education and Jewish history, as well as planning many special events and programs throughout the year.
