Interview with Mr. Rosenberg

I had the time to speak with Zev Rosenberg on November 1, 2009. His occupation right now is a telemarketing representative. This is a business to business calling. He also recruits blood donors. He was asked to teach Kabbalah for the 7th and 8th graders on Sundays. He was very excited to have the chance to teach the teenagers. He really wants to interest younger minds. He would like to be more involved in Jewish mysticism/Jewish Spirituality. He has plenty of free time on evenings and especially weekends. By teaching the kids at Sunday School, it lets Zev extend shabbat through teaching.'' When you are being taught lessons, you grow in every aspect of your personality.'' You grow in intellectual skill, your emotions. Zev said that that you need to be involved in spirituality and if you don't enjoy spirituality, its like a case of arrested spiritual development. Zev thinks that he has to keep learning because learning is a lifelong process. Zev said that everytime you read the same prayer, you learn something new about the prayer each time. He would love if everybody would never stop learning and never stop asking questions. What made him be so interested in Kabbalah is when he went back to Israel and a friend of his taught him a portion of Tayna about it and it totally blew his mind. Ever since, he was interested in the understanding of god to the heart for spirituality.

Interview with Dr. Hecht

Dr. Hecht may be in a new place, but, he’s a nice person and his personal and his children’s education. The group of doctors he’s in is called reproductive endocrinology. More specifically he’s an obstetrician, or gynecologist, which means that he’s a doctor that specializes with couples and infertility, or babies. He has one child currently at Chadash and tries to therefore help contribute to Jewish education. "Busy people always find time," he said about how he finds time to contribute with his child’s education, "Education is important." We may not have known him for long, but Dr. Hecht is connecting with us and being without personal history doesn’t bring him down because we’re already getting to know him. "Life is hard and we need guidance to make the best decisions, Jewish education helps." That’s what’s known about Dr.Hecht.

Interview with Mrs. Katz

I interviewed Mrs. Julie Katz for the Chadash Jewish Newsletter. I asked her a series of questions about her background and interests. Mrs. Katz and her family live in Akron, Ohio. Working as a principal at Chadash is her only job. She had a job before this one and it was a nursing home administrator. Although she liked doing that job, it was hard for the family. Then she started teaching and liked it. The way she is keeping this one from affecting the family is that Mrs. Katz is organized and her husband helps out too."When I come home, my husband fixes dinner and I serve it. It really helps me out." Her belief of Jewish education is that people undervalue it, but she is one of the ones who value it.
